White Man’s Burden, Issue #2 is centered on the idea of journey. It is an extension of our foundation as Pilipinos divorced from the Motherland. Writers share stories and thoughts of deep pain, struggle, hope, and resilience. The collective journey we take in this zine does not begin and end in any one place. It touches upon the reality of migration: away from home, and then back again, in a new light. It reaches the dynamics of our family(ies): violent and suppressive, yet simultaneously-- a solace. It engages in internalized battles, embraces radical self-love, and leaves you dreaming of revolution. White Man's Burden issue #2: journey grieves a lost history, while adopting a new, collective future.
